New to Our Art Programs? Start Here!

Our one-hour Intro to Art Program is the first step for anyone new to our studio or programs. Even if you’ve attended camp or have prior experience, this is where everyone starts. Our instructors will guide you, assess your skills, and help place you in the right program. These sessions are designed to benefit all new students and build a strong foundation for success.

Returning Student? Visit All Art Programs Page

Each session includes engaging mini projects designed to help you build confidence and start a small portfolio. They’re designed to prepare you with all the essential basics, so when you’re ready to move on to our longer hour-and-a-half, two-hour, or even more advanced classes, you’ll already have a strong foundation. In these beginner sessions, you’ll learn the most important techniques in drawing, painting with acrylics, and mixed media—giving you the skills and confidence to dive deeper into your artistic journey without needing an introduction to the fundamentals.

We recommend attending at least 21 sessions (or hours) of our Intro to Art Program before enrolling in standard classes: seven sessions focused on working with acrylic paint, seven sessions on sketching and drawing, and seven sessions on working with clay and mixed media. Exceptions may apply, as no journey is the same. Each student will receive a palette to track their hours and progress.
