Market Day Workshops for Current Students

Attention all students! We have some exciting news to share with you. Bash and Design gallery will be joining the Market in the Alley on Sunday, May 7th, and we want YOU to be a part of it!

What does this mean for our students? It means that each time we get an opportunity to be a part of the market, you too can be a part of it! We are adding 3 Mondays for workshops where students can make artwork for the upcoming market day where they get a chance to sell artwork!

​

For the upcoming market days, we as a team will be releasing themed artwork, but creating our own individual pieces. And for this upcoming market day, we're going with the theme of animals, pets, fictional characters in Las Vegas! So maybe you've been thinking about painting a cat but wearing Elvis’ outfit, whatever it is!

This is a great opportunity for our students to enter into the entrepreneurial world as they will experience the process of brainstorming inspired by theme, work in a group environment, marketing, learn how to work with a deadline, accept constructive criticism as you are chosen to represent a fine art gallery, and sell during the market days.

The market day workshop consists of 3 Mondays, April 17th, April 24th, and May 1st (we apologize for the late announcement as we received the news last night and had to act fast).

​

We priced the workshop low to cover the costs so we could give our students this exciting entrepreneurial opportunity, but we also want to introduce them to the reality of the business world. Every sale made, Bash and Design Gallery gets to keep 20% studio fee as it goes towards numerous expenses such as: the vendor fee, the booth, transportation of the artwork, required license, advertisement and marketing. Remember we are partners! There is a lot of work that goes into organizing these events, it is important that our students understand that, normal gallery fees usually charge close to 50%!
